Shimco Awards Annual Scholarship

Carmen Bracho is the first Shimco Scholarship recipient.

MARKHAM, Ontario (October 28, 2015)–Shimco,a world-wide leader in the,manufacture of precision parts and gap-management solutions,announced today the inaugural Shimco Scholarship was awarded for continuing education at McMaster University, located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Carmen Bracho, currently a level II Mechanical Engineering and Management student at McMaster University received the award from Peter Voss, President, CEO and Owner of Shimco.

Awarded annually to a student in the Faculty of Science or Engineering at McMaster University, the
Shimco Scholarship recognizes a student in their second year of study or higher, who has demonstrated
outstanding academic achievement, and who emulates the core values of Shimco: honesty, integrity, respect and cooperation.

With a student population of 23,000, McMaster University is a public research university whose main
campus is located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is located on 121 hectares (300 acres)
of land in the residential neighbourhood of Westdale. The university operates six academic faculties: Business, Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities, Social Science, and Science. It is a member of the U15, a group of research – intensive universities in Canada and named as one of the top 100 universities in the world by Times Higher Education rankings in 2015.
