Shimco has new, modern CNC milling and turning machines
Our new, modern CNC milling machines are capable of 3 and 4 axis CNC milling, to tolerances of +-0.002″ (+-0.0508mm). The work envelopes range from very small (sub-inch/cm) to 64″ x 32″ x 30″ (1,524mm x 813mm x 762mm). These machines are capable of milling hard and soft metals, and in quantities from a single piece to 30,000 (or more) pieces. Higher quantity orders are typically run on our Mazak Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS), that utilizes Mazak’s Palletech system. Our new Mazak lathe will turn parts to a tolerance of +-0.0001” (+-0.00254mm). The Palletech holds 12 multi-faced pallets (32 faces in total) and is paired to two Mazak 4000HCN horizontal CNC mills. Each 4000HCN holds 80 tools, for tool wear and breakage redundancy, allowing the FMS to run 24/7, lights-out.
